After a full SHS interior upgrade and a M100 spring this became so much more than I thought. It was so good I upgraded everything further, then I was left with parts to just make the empty shell into a secondary. Even all the new stuff today isn't appealing over my 416s these 5 years later. That and I am a Hk tragic.

Finding this vid even now and seeing what I was annoyed with myself, the bounce of the spring retainer even seating it was why I always screwed in the buffer retainer bolt outside the lower. Although I got the basic version, I did a full rewire of everything recently and of course those mag terminal wires got a proper fix pretty much after it fell off on the first teardown when I got it years ago. Otherwise I can't fault this split box.

Here's an interesting question. Does a short stroked pistol allow as much gas in to propel the gel and does it drop the FPS. Or is it just affecting the slide movement??

Funny enough i have the same sorter but i was able too screw 1.25L mountain dew bottles into the white bottle lids on the bottom but i had to cut a juice bottle lids top off so i was left with the threaded bit and used a hot glue gun to stick it onto the top of the sorter cause that thread in the top of the sorter is a Asian/American thread and some of the bottom lids are a Asian/American thread i have been told, like what you got but you seem to have it all sorted now but awesome video as usual and it answers many questions and can i do what you have done but use a old little 7.4v blaster battery,or is that over powering it and from memory i think that i got mine from azraels armoury.

Are those caps the same thread as those grenade type bottles.

I’ve been using one of these since I started having problems with jams in my gbbg,but since talking to people at my local gel balling site and adviced they use one of these devices…so since I’ve purchased mine and started sorting mine I’ve since not had any problems at all so this is a god sent.

seriously, what kind of a test is it when you do not even shoot the things??? slashing the bag/gels, measuring them dry? weighing them? not even measuring them properly, wtf? this video is just plain confusing, what did i just watch?. demineralized / tap water who cares. just do what we all do. eg, grab a handful of gels, set your Vernier's at 7.1mm and 7.3mm then run the Vernier's through the hand full of gels and see how many get picked up and how many fall through those sizes. this quickly gives us a accurate idea as to what real world sizes we are dealing with. then set your Vernier's to 7.1 and 7.7 and see how many, if any super small or barrel blocking jelly beans there are. important things to test for, 1) maximum growth time and consistency... you almost got this right. test them at 4 hrs, then overnight and check for changes. 2) spherical consistency... are the gels round and not egg shaped at 4hrs or overnight? this is a big thing 3) they need to shoot straight.... some gels just will not get a good grouping no matter the barrel size, hop up or fps... test them and see if they group well compared to others of the same calibre/price. 4) they need to have a good shelf life. people want to be able to use them after a 2 weeks, a month or two without them getting mushy.. are they still the same size, strength and shape 1 or 2 weeks later? 5) price and volume of gels per bag. how many litres of made up gels does one bag make? 6) do they feed well? some gels are notorious for poor feeding and they barely can even pour out a speed loader (eg glow gels and some hardened varieties). 7) hardness test. you nailed this one. you did 2 of the 6 things that matter to me... not trying to burn you here, just giving some constructive, honest feedback as i like your channel and i am always looking for new products. i believe Bradley is testing these as well. i hope he makes this testing and results a little clearer. oh and Dan, if your listening. if/when are you gonna get the old school hardened milkies back? pearls are good, but grow times are very tricky to not over grow them. soaking pearls for 2hrs 5 mins gets 7.1mm average. and 2hrs 25 mins is getting 7.3mm av... really gotta keep an eye on them as they grow out to 7.8mm very quick. and its easy to ruin batches

Amazing stuff!! Yea the sorter works better if the speed is slower. When the speed is faster, the gels slipped to the last hole due to the inertia / gravity (not sure what’s the right term to quote).

I have a question... My motor elevation screw keeps loosening.... how can i prevent it from happening in middle of game as it happens very frequently

Wow gbbr blaster

LDT sold caps that could be screwed into the back of the spring retainer and would lock them into place so the retainer would not move. This is for any of their blasters that don’t use a traditional buffer retainer. The MCX, CNC 416 and the newer AR receiver use these.

Yes it does eat out the back of upper gearbox especially when doing science builds of 400+ fps
